Mental Ability and Reasoning Competition endeavours to assess the competency and proficiency of the students in the field of Mental Ability and Reasoning at national and international level every year. Its syllabus comprises of the syllabus of CBSE/ICSE and various State Boards. The MARC examination is purely based on Mental Ability and Reasoning, which provides ample opportunity to the students not only to test their skills but also sharpen them accordingly and provide know-how about international standard.

Exam Format

The language medium is English only

• For Classes 1-2 : There will be 30 questions and the duration will be of 60 Minutes.
• For Classes 3-12: There will be 30 questions and the duration will be of 45 Minutes.

Class 2 Details

Number puzzles, missing number, artificial language, jumbled words, word pairs, steps in order, logical sequence of words, mental ability, weighing scale problems, patterns, mirror images, classification, complete the shape, matching pictures, tracing shapes, analogies, direction sense, age puzzles, verbal classification.

Class 3 Details

• Time allowed : 45 Minutes
• Syllabus
Number series, number puzzles, artificial language, logical sequencing, paper folding, pattern completion, complete the shape, analogies, patterns, choose the correct fit, geometrical figure counting, mirror images, water images, image analysis, picture matrix, age puzzles, direction sense, classification, time.

Class 4 Details

• Question count: 30
• Time allowed : 45 Minutes

Artificial language , essential part, statements and conclusions, logical problems, paper folding, complete the shape, weighing scale problems, analogies, patterns, mirror images, water images, image analysis, shape construction, grouping of images, classification of images, venn diagrams, pattern completion, choose the correct fit , geometrical figure counting, names of polygons, line of symmetry.
